ABOUT WASHINGTON FOLK FESTIVAL 2023

If you are a local musician, dance group, or storyteller interested in being considered as a performer in the Folk Festival and have not performed before but would like to be considered, please fill out our online application. Applications due February 19th.

FOOD: Provided by Praline Bakery

ACCESSIBILITY: All venues are accessible 

PARKING: Parking on-site is limited; there is a festival shuttle from free satellite parking in the GEICO parking lot located at 5260 Western Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815, just a few blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro station. (You can also take Metro and catch the shuttle from the GEICO lot.) See you there on June 4 and 5!


GET INVOLVED

We need volunteers! This is an all-volunteer event: everyone, including the performers, planners, technicians, and sound engineers, EVERYONE donates their services. We Need You! Let us know of your talents and we will find a place for you. Help is needed the month prior and during the festival. Fill out the application on the left, or email wffvolunteers@fsgw.org

Perform with us! If you are a local musician, dance group, or storyteller interested in being considered as a performer in the Folk Festival and have NOT performed before but would like to be considered, please fill out our Google Form application. General inquiries or questions can also be sent to the Program Committee email box. Applications accepted through January 31.

APPLICATIONS DUE FEBRUARY 19TH, 2023

Become a Craft Vendor! Every year, the festival offers space for artisans to showcase and sell their wares. Admission is based on creativity, uniqueness, quality, show balance and customer appeal. If you are interested in exhibiting at the festival, please complete the online form by April 10.
