Silver Spring Contra Dance

The Silver Spring Contra Dance is held in the Great Hall of the Silver Spring Civic Building, which is climate controlled. Experienced and new dancers are welcome to join us for an evening of traditional American contras and two waltzes, plus occasional squares or circle mixers, to live music with experienced callers.

If you've never tried contra dancing before, there's a brief orientation session starting at 7.  You don't need to bring a partner. Smooth-soled shoes that fasten securely are recommended.

When: Second Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm (Intro session at 7)

Where:  The Great Hall of the Silver Spring Civic Building, 801 Ellsworth Dr. There is parking in the public parking garage across Ellsworth Dr. 

Admission:  

$15.00 Dance Admission

$12.00 for FSGW members

 

$5.00 Under 21 and those with low income.
