Donating

We are so excited to bring back this fabulous festival, a cultural treasure in the Mid-Atlantic, now as a jam-packed one-day event at Glen Echo Park, but we need your help to keep this festival going!

We have a minimum target of raising $30,000 for festival expenses. This is a free, volunteer-run festival, but we are faced with rising costs such as venue, sound equipment, feeding performers, etc. Your donations are what keeps this festival running.

At this year’s festival on October 19, 2025, we will have around 40 local or regional folk music, dance and storytelling acts from different cultural traditions that have made the Mid-Atlantic their home, family-friendly activities, food, and a lot more from the morning going later into the evening!

Donate

Pitch in today to help ensure that we can continue to offer this cultural tradition! Your donation of any size is what keeps this community event going.

We are also hoping to give some perks and mementos to donors. Donate today and you’ll also have a small surprise waiting just for you at the festival!

You can securely donate via the link below. Select “Washington Folk Festival” in the donation target.

This is a free Festival but we do have costs, such as the venue and sound equipment. Pitch in today to help ensure that we can offer this event for many years to come! Your donation of any size is greatly appreciated.
