Friday Night Contra & Square Dance

ANNOUNCEMENT: Beginning July 1, 2024, the Friday night contra dance at Glen Echo will be hosted solely by Friday Night Dancers, Inc. FSGW congratulates FND on rebuilding the dance through the COVID pandemic and we look forward to their continued success. What this means for dancers is that tickets will no longer be able to be purchased through the FSGW website after July 1. Dancers will need to go to the FND Website to purchase tickets as well as sign up for their newsletter to receive updates on future dances. We will continue to work with FND in support of contra dancing and music, just like we’ve been doing for 50 years! |
When: Every Friday Night at 8 PM, with a lesson at 7:30 PM Where: The Spanish Ballroom OR The Bumper Car Pavilion, Glen Echo Park, MD (check individual events for location) Admission: $15 dance admission. You can pre-pay online or pay at the door with Credit Card or cash. To pre-pay, go to the Friday Night Dancers website. |
Transportation:
Montgomery County's Bus 29 connects from the Friendship Heights Redline to a bus stop next to the Exxon gas station near Glen Echo Park. The last bus back to Friendship Heights metro is scheduled to leave Glen Echo before the end of the dance at 10:18 pm. If you would like to stay at the event longer, car rides to the nearest metro station are available. We will NOT leave anyone stranded. |
