Calling all musicians! The Glen Echo Open Band is scheduled to play for the September 9 contra dance (organized by Friday Night Dancers and FSGW), which will take place in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. If you are interested in helping to provide exciting, high-energy live music for contra dancers, please join us! Musicians of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. Please note that all are strongly encouraged to preregister (which can be done here) and must abide by the following COVID policies during the dance:
Also, we welcome you to fill out this short survey to share any ideas you have about the Open Band (including past experiences if you have participated before, as well as hopes for the future). This is a strong, vibrant community that is a long-standing tradition at the Friday Night Dance, and the resumption of Open Band dances gives us an opportunity to reexamine what we've done in the past and build an even better band for the future. Please feel free to share the survey link with others you know who may not have received this newsletter.
We hope to see you on September 9!
Gender Free Terms for all dance calls. All dances will be taught.
Lesson at 7:30pm
This is an FSGW Tier 1 event.
