Fiona Ritchie of Thistle & Shamrock writes of John Doyle: "He has a rhythmic guitar style like no other and his playing has become one of the defining features of today's contemporary Irish sound. ? As a member of Solas, a solo artist, or an accompanist, he has appeared on more than 50 albums with other folk luminaries including Liz Carroll, Eileen Ivers, Susan McKeown, Mick Moloney and Kate Rusby.
Colin Farrell plays fiddle and tinwhistle with Lúnasa, and his first solo album (On the Move, 2010) was named one of the ten best albums of the year by the Irish Echo; his second album (Make a Note, 2015) was named Instrumental Album of the year by liveIreland.
