October Open Sing

  • 13 Oct 2017
  • 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM
  • Home of David Shapiro, Greenbelt, MD
Date: Friday, October 13. ***8PM***

Topic: "Story Hour." This is pretty wide open. Most songs tell stories--not just ballads, but love songs, shanties and other work songs, and even some hymns. Songs about literary characters, books, writers, etc., are particularly encouraged, with extra points granted for songs about libraries/librarians.

Accessibility Note: We will be singing in the library we built into our house, which is up a flight of about a dozen stairs in our raised ranch. Sorry for the climb, but there is much more seating up there. Please tuck a folding chair into the trunk if you can, in case we have a big crowd.

Location: Home of Mary Jo and David Shapiro, 114 Northway, Greenbelt, MD 20770. We're a little more than a block off Crescent Rd. near Old Greenbelt--easily accessible via the Beltway, the BW Parkway, and University Boulevard. Parking in our semi-circular driveway for those who'll fit or across the street.

Call for directions: 301-699-8833

Please note early start time: 8 pm, Date is SECOND Friday
