When
14 Feb 2007
8:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Location
Home of Dennis Cook, Oberlin, OH
Andy Cohen turned sixty on the same day his antique Volvo rolled over threehundred thousand miles, causing him to wonder how old he was in car years. For the past forty years or so, he has been peregrinating the countryside ina series of antique cars, playing antique music on antique instruments. Heactually has an education, but it's in Anthropology, so it's economicallyuseless. On the other hand, his fieldwork was extensive, consisting largelyof taking old blind guys around to gigs that he set up for them. That hecontinues to play their music, which he has made his own as best he could,is proof at least of his tenacity, if not the quaint notion that he can pickhis antique patoot off.Dennis and Judy Cook invite you (and your sweetie) to cap off your Valentine's Day by coming to their house and falling in love with the music of Andy Cohen.THE CONCERT IS ON. Maryland route 198 and Bond Mill Rd are clear. There is some slush - which will turn to ice later - on Orem Drive and Kenny Rd, but they are flat. Malcolm Drive, and our hill, are clear. We suggest parking in our drivway (cozy up) or with two wheels on the cleared pavement.
