Shawn Brenneman calls with Nightwatch (Sunday Contra)
When
04 Feb 2007
7:30 PM - 10:30 PM
Location
Glen Echo Park Spanish Ballroom, Glen Echo, MD
Shawn Brenneman will come up from Blacksburg, VA to call with Nightwatch. Nightwatch is a very hot band of brilliant young musicians who all grew up in the genre. Owen Morrison, now of Nashville, is no stranger to Glen Echo (Morrison Brothers, House Red): his guitar and mandolin playing (electric and acoustic) is infused with rock, classical, and latin technique, and amazing to watch, listen, and dance to. Naomi Morse, a dynamite fiddler, is a member of a dance and music family in Marlboro, VT and grew up playing and dancing. Elvie Miller, of New Hampshire, is a dynamite piano and accordion player, and daughter to one of the most revered contra dance fiddlers out there. Between their pedigree, talents, and own hard work, this is one band not to miss.
