Beth Molaro calls with Rumblestrip (Sunday Contra)

  • 26 Nov 2006
  • 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Glen Echo Park Spanish Ballroom, Glen Echo, MD
From North Carolina, Beth Molaro will be joining New England based Rumblestrip after they all play the Butterball in Delaware. Rumblestrip consists of some of New England's finest performers who hail from the home of the contra dance revival, Nelson, New Hampshire. Nat Hewit is a gifted melodic and rhythmic player of fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. His solo CD is a real listening pleasure, and he has recorded with such contra luminaries as Sam Bartlett and Larry Unger. Liza Constable, on guitar and vocals, has been on numerous recordings, including an amazing CD with the Sevens, a solo blues recording, and a delightful CD with Chanterelle. They will be joined by Glen Loper, a fine banjo and mandolin player from Portland, Maine. It has been awhile since Nat has played here, and its will be a real treat to have this band. http://www.lizaconstable.com/
