Cindy Kallet is a nationally touring folk musician who has been writing music and playing the guitar since she was eleven years old. She is a songwriter, singer and guitarist with five solo albums to her credit. In the twenty-five years since the release of her first album, Cindy has built a devoted fan base of audiences of all ages and occupations. Her varied audience members all find good reason to love Cindy's music, from her skillful playing to her heartfelt singing to her honest and intelligent songwriting to her quietly outrageous humor. Her passion for folk tradition is deeply personal and challenges listeners to draw their own individual connections with the music. Just about anyone who has heard her has become an instant part of her diverse fan base. Cindy?s songs embody her love for the natural beauty of the New England coast. Through her years as a musician, traveler, teacher, naturalist, carpenter, and mother, she has honed and distilled unique insights and imagery. All of this she wraps in her songs, delivered with clarity, depth, and the realism of life understood and the poetry of dreams heartfelt.Cindy has quietly become one of folk music's most respected singer-songwriters." -- (Scott Alarik, Boston Globe)Cindy Kallet is the very personification of the best of American folk music: her songs are rich, deeply textured and often moving and her voice, as Gordon Bok put it, "will give you the shivers."-- Stone Soup
