Jed Marum performs a fine mix of acoustic musical styles including bluegrass flavored Irish and American folk, and is widely known as a refined singer, a superb player and a gifted songwriter. Jed will be performing cuts from his new album, Fighting Tigers of Ireland: A US Civil War Collection. This album, a compilation of tracks from live concert and studio recordings, presents songs and stories from America's Civil War. Jed has two previous albums on Boston Road Records, Streets of Fall River and The Soul of a Wanderer. He'll be performing songs from all three of these albums in addition to new songs he has yet to record.Jed Marum is a featured performer at folk and Celtic festival and concert venues throughout North America. Tracks from his previous Boston Road Record releases are regularly heard on radio airwaves around the world. This includes two months among the "Most Played Artists" for Soul of a Wanderer in 2002 on the Folk-DJ-List. Also, his recording of ?Grace?, on his first album Streets of Fall River, was the 25th most played single track in Ireland, for the year 2001. Jed has a distinct guitar-style that is powerful, percussive and musical. He is an accomplished banjo and harmonica player as well, and he creates a delightful blend of string sounds. Folk music producer Paul Mills has said, "Jed is a fabulous singer who knows how to communicate a lyric. He writes songs with great melodies and can skillfully interpret them as well as works by other artists." Judith Gennet of Green Man Reviews has said of Jed's music, "You can hear the Folk in the Celtic and the Celtic in the Folk!"
