WITH GREAT delight FSGW welcomes back two favorites from England, Betty and Norman McDonald, to perform their charming and melodious songs. A delightful couple, they come to us from the North-East of England near Newcastle by way of their current home in the South-West near Gloucester. They bring us a wealth of songs - funny, warm, and poignant - from their Geordie roots. Songs like Keep Your Feet Still Geordie Hinny tell amusing tales of life in the area in bygone days. The traditional wisdom passed on in Jowl and Listen would save many a minors life. The woman's perspective of the work of the press gangs is told in Here's the Tender Coming. Their warm good humor welcomes listeners and invites participation.MOSTLY ACCOMPANIED, their songs and harmonies delight audiences. Betty's dancing fingers on the banjo provide a lively counterpoint to Norman's rich, mellow guitar chords. Similarly, Betty's alto harmonies compliment and support Norman's baritone melodies.WONDERFUL FOLKS in a wonderful setting.
