Shawn Brenneman calls to music by the Contrarians (Sunday Contra)

Shawn Brenneman calls to music by the Contrarians - Paul Epstein (fiddle), Robin Kessinger (guitar), John Longwell (mandolin, tenor banjo, fiddle), Gary Reynolds (guitar, trumpet, banjo, percussion), and Will Carter (stand-up bass). The Contrarians blew people away in their official debut performance at the FOOTMAD Festival in September 2000. Paul and John have played together for over 25 years in various WV string bands. Gary Reynolds used to play and record with the Raisin Pickers. Will was the driving force behind the Appalachian String Festival at Clifftop and the Charleston Jazz Series.
