Joseph Pimentel (from Michigan) calls to music by Canada's Flapjack: Jay Edmunds plays fiddle, mandolin and guitar, and sings. His musical influences include traditional Ontario music and North American musicians such as Norman Blake, David Grisman, and Woody Guthrie. Karen Taylor sings and plays fiddle and clawhammer banjo. She is classically trained, but discovered traditional music at a party, dusted off her grandpa's fiddle to try it out, and hasn't looked back. Her first love is playing for dancers. Teilhard Frost adds vocals, washboard, feet, bones, jaw harp, harmonica, and a few more things besides-he's a fiendish yet tasteful percussionist who can lay down a groove with anything from a walnut to a piece of cheese. Bassist Sam Allison has trained as a jazz musician and written award-winning music for theatre. He also adds a wild high harmony to vocals, and has even been known to whip out the bass harmonica.
