There is a new contra music jam in town! The Heartwood Jam takes place on the first Tuesday of every month in Temple Hills from 6:30-9:30. In the future, the jam will hopefully happen on third Tuesdays as well and incorporate free workshops for attendees. As long as you’re capable of basically holding a melody or rhythm (or just want to listen), you’re welcome to join!
Zane Potorti, the host, organized jam sessions like this in North Carolina, where they founded and led the Original Neighbors Open Band. The venue is Heartwood Homestead, the community house where Zane lives.
