Join us for an inspiring evening of music and storytelling with internationally renowned guitarist and song writer Beppe Gambetta. This event is being put on by the Italian Cultural Society of Washington, D.C., with co-sponsorship by FSGW.

This concert will take place at the Italian Cultural Society of Washington D.C. in Bethesda, MD and is discounted for FSGW members ($33.85, general tickets are $40)

TERRA MADRE is Beppe's recent album, part of this concert, a powerful program rooted in the artist’s right to dream of a beauty that defies the dullness of reality. Through a rich tapestry of Italian folk traditions, American acoustic roots, and original compositions, Gambetta brings to life stories and dreams connected to the ancestral lands of countless possible journeys. The music gives voice to those on the margins — migrants, minorities, indigenous peoples — and draws inspiration from the poetic and socially conscious legacy of artists like Fabrizio De André.

About the artist:

Beppe Gambetta is a musician and cultural ambassador who has been captivating audiences around the world for over forty years with the uniqueness and originality of his projects, born between the two shores of the Atlantic. He is an acoustic guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and educator, whose art is fueled above all by a deep curiosity for travel, encounters, and exploration. Beppe has revived forgotten artists, promoted and reimagined traditional guitar techniques, and created unforgettable performances and a wealth of original music. For all this, he is loved and respected on the international music scene.
