Susan Pepper & Ash Devine: Ballad Workshop & House Concert

JUST ANNOUNCED: FSGW members only ballad workshop with Susan Pepper and house concert with Ash Devine and Susan over brunch! As noted in her Youth Trad Song Weekend staff bio, "Susan learned directly from several amazing singers including Hazel Rhymer, Pearl Hicks, Zora Walker and Rosa Hicks who were all raised in the 1930s." She directed the Alleghany Junior Appalachian Musicians program in Sparta, NC, and is currently working on The Mountain Minor, a film about Appalachian music. Ash Devine, singer and guitarist who last appeared for FSGW as half of the Picket Sisters with Saro Lynch-Thomason, portrayed Maybelle Carter in the world premiere of the musical Esley: The Life of Lesley Riddle. She has also toured with Patch Adams as a healing clown on missions of the Gesundheit! Institute. Workshop and concert $25 donation suggested.
