Harry Bolick is a collector and performer of music from Depression-era Mississippi, and recently published a book with Stephen T. Austin, Mississippi Fiddle Tunes and Songs from the 1930s. This book is believed to be the first publication of 180 tunes collected by Works Progress Administration field workers in 1936, and includes a history of the WPA project and bios of the source musicians. Document Records has issued a 3-CD set to accompany the book. Bolick is accompanied by Brian Slattery; they have performed as a suo for 15 years. At the home of Andy & Sondra Wallace.
