The Great American Square Dance Revival - Part XI

  • 21 Apr 2012
  • 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Washington, DC
Thanks for making our first birthday party a smashing success in March. There were over 400 people in attendance - wow! I guess we really have revived the Great American Square Dance!

We hope you're ready for more dancing, 'cause we've got another one coming right up. Grab your dancing shoes (or your boots, or heck, your Toms will be great too) and join us at St. Stephens on April 21 to ring in the springtime and our second year of dances in the district.

We'll have local superstars, the Foggy Mountain Possum Hunters, playing the tunes for us: Chris Romaine, Paul Brown, John Schwab, Kevin Enoch, and Bruce Hutton. And our good friend Joe Overton will be coming from Charlottesville to call the figures. Expect some hot fiddlin' and sweet dancin' . . . these dudes know how to break it down.

Admission: $5

RSVP: on Facebook

No experience, partner, or costume required. Come on out! It's "the new definition of fun"! (Or so we've been told). And if you'd like to help make it happen, email us at dcsquaredance@gmail.com (or stick around afterwards) to lend a hand.
