The Great American Square Dance Revival

  • 07 May 2011
  • 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Washington, DC
The square dance revival is in full swing, and we hope you'll join us for the next one on May 7th! More dancing, more fiddle, more banjo, and even more awesome. Yes!

This month we are excited to have Michael Ismerio calling the dances - he's a fantastic caller from Bloomington, Indiana and one of the founders of the Portland, Oregon square dance revival scene. Check out his site here.

Playing the tunes will be the Possum Trotters: another rockin' ensemble featuring Christina Wensel Wheeler on fiddle, Bill Schmidt on banjo, and Ann Porcella on guitar.

We're just a short walk from the Columbia Heights metro. Find us in the main sanctuary of St. Stephen's - come right on in through the front doors (not the side doors that are used for many events at St. Stephen's).

Admission is still $5 - can't beat that for a night of live music and dancing in the District. All ages welcome; no partner, experience, or fancy dress needed. See you soon!
