New Year (Shape Note Singing)

The annual New Year's Day Singing draws participants from around the region to sing unaccompanied four-part psalms, folk hymns, fugues, and anthems from the shape-note tunebooks The Sacred Harp (1991 edition) and Christian Harmony (1958). Loaner copies of both will be available. There will be four hours of singing, with a break for potluck supper.
