The Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park is closed through Wednesday, February 17, due to the snow load on the roof and inoperability of the sprinkler system. The hope is for the building to be re-inspected and cleared for events in the middle of next week; however the timing of this greatly depends on the snowstorm predicted for Monday.
The free-for-members dance and opportunity to nominate candidates from the floor for the 2010-2011 FSGW Board will be rescheduled in March.
Special Special Special Valentine's Day Dance!
Canadian lovebirds Tom Calwell and Myra Hirshberg swoop down from Toronto to call for the happy family of Contranella, Megan Wobus Beller on Fiddle, John Wobus on Piano and Charley Beller on Mandolin, Banjo and Percussion.
This dance is FREE to Members of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington.
Nominations for the 2010-2011 FSGW Board will be taken from the floor at the break, which will be a brief official membership meeting. Therefore, this dance is FREE for FSGW members--bring your membership card or newsletter for ID.
