Mingo Saldivar y los Cuatro Espadas (Library of Congress Homegrown Concert)

Mingo Saldivar y los Cuatro Espadas are a South Texas conjunto that plays the infectious dance music of the Mexican American border country. Mingo, who leads the group on accordion and vocals, is one of the most dynamic performers in any genre of traditional music today. His repertoire is huge and varied, ranging from Tex-Mex standards to Nashville country ballads.
