Street Address: Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, Maryland 20812
Google Maps: Glen Echo Map
Venue Website: glenechopark.org
Public transportation: Take the Metro Red Line to the Friendship Heights or Bethesda station, and catch the Ride-On Bus 29 bus to Glen Echo (please note that the weekday schedule and weekend schedules are different). The bus stop is at the intersection of Goldsboro Road and MacArthur Boulevard, by the Exxon gas station. Cross MacArthur Boulevard and head left (east) along the bike path. You will soon see the upper parking lot on your right. Go through the lot and follow the driveway sloping down. You will see a stone tower and 2 large pylons which mark the upper park entrance.
Handicap Access: All buildings at the park are ADA compliant; wheelchair access is by ramps, elevators, or lifts.
Parking: There are two parking lots. The upper lot is fairly small, and requires permits from 8 am to 4 pm. The lower lot is much larger and does not require permits. Parking on the grassy areas around the lower lot is permitted when the pavement is full, particularly on weekends. Access to the lower lot is via Oxford Road, off MacArthur Boulevard. Oxford Road is the cross street at the western end of the small Glen Echo shopping strip with a 7-11 and an Exxon gas station.
Miscellaneous: The entrance to the Park from the lower parking lot is not conspicuous or well marked. Follow the sidewalk uphill along the row farthest from Oxford Road. You will see a stone wall and pedestrian bridge to your right, at the uphill end of the lot. Cross that bridge, and walk along the paved path through the trees.
