Board meetings are open to FSGW members, although the Board reserves the right to go into executive session. If you wish to make a proposal to the Board, please email the President with the details at least two days in advance of the meeting, so that time can be allotted on the agenda. Board meetings are usually held in the Glen Echo Classroom Building, Room 201, on the first Wednesday after the first Tuesday of each month, but please check the FSGW calendar to be sure of the date, time, and location.
If you have enjoyed FSGW's programming, and wish to give something back to FSGW -- or if you are not satisfied and would like to see changes -- or if you are willing to commit your time and skills to help ensure FSGW's future, then please consider running for the FSGW Board. The nomination process begins in January, and elections are held in May. The term of office is one year. If you think you might be interested, please contact any Board member. Nominations may be submitted in writing or accepted from the floor at the annual membership programs and membership contra dances.
