The Kennedys return to 333 for the first time in several years, with their charming folk/pop style, their smart songs, their stellar harmony singing, and their virtuosic guitar and ukulele playing. Their performances are mood-altering in the best possible way. We are so excited to have them coming back!
Biography: Pete and Maura Kennedy first met at the Continental Club, a roots rock mecca on the South side of Austin, Texas.
They hit it off right away, talking music and guitars, ending up writing a song together. After a couple of years travelling together in Nanci Griffith's band, they struck out as a duo. Over two decades of dedicated touring the US and UK, they've released 10 duo CDs, plus some solo and side recordings, and developed a loyal following with a sound that combines folk, pop and country elements. Their shows are fun and inspiring, highlighting their fine harmony singing, smart songwriting, instrumental virtuosity and all-around joy in music. You can't leave a Kennedys concert and not be smiling.
